VN power window switches

Another question guys!!!

Has anyone replaced the power window switches (front) in their vn???

Is there a generic switch available???

I have been quoted approx $390 for the 2 switches from holden, but i have seen switches for other cars (generic) go for $20....

just a thought, if your lookin at replacing them because the dont work well..before you do that take them out and give the contacts a good clean...
might just save you some $$
if you do need new ones...maybe a wreckers?they'd definately be cheaper than $390

check on ebay from time to time... a mate of mine just sold some.. he got 81 and 71 for the front ones... now that is way cheaper that 390

I didnt want to sell them but if you give me 150 for the pair i'll sell them....

hey, im in NZ but had the same prob with mine, replaced one front switch and two rear motors - got the parts from a second hand holden parts dealer, the parts came with a 6month guarantee for $210 for the lot (but had to send my old parts in once they had been replaced) fair deal i thought...... must be something sim in Oz? They are called Advanced Holden Specialists and they have a website. The new holden parts price was too horrific to contemplate.

I put a relay in the circuit for the front drivers window up as thats the one that seems to burn. No problems since.
