I need to know whether a normal 6 cylinder VN Commodore engine is legally classed as a high performance engine or not. Please post if anyone knows the answer.
i wouldn't reckon.. they were put out as a family car..
No the VN motor isn't a high performance motor. They were quick off the mark due to their short first gear.
The VNV6 is perfectly legal for a p-plate driver (I assume that's why you're asking). And at the risk of opening a real can or worms here, the VNV6 Series 1 motor had a bit more 'go' about it than the series 2, but there's not a whole lot of difference.
If you really want to make it fun, try and track down a manual, the auto isn't bad, but the manual is the better drive IMO
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
You should read up on this subject, cars like the mini cooper s etc they are trying (or have) to ban from p platers becuase they are somewhat performace cars, but a car like a SV6 or a BMW M3 is fine, its mind boggling
Im guessing the RTA is going by power to weight ratio.
right now all the P plater bike riders are laughing... untill they get hit by it lol
anyone up for a cruise on there peewee 50!
