alright should i put a turbo on my vp after i do me engine up i want plenty o power how much power at least 300 maybe 400?
supercharger not turbo
any reason why
go the turbo.. so much more fun.. and not much harder to do the conversion..
everyone seems to be against turboing a v6.. i don't know why.. i have been told by a number of people as long as you give the motor enough fuel and don't run really high boost you won't hurt the motor
itll be a fresh motor with stage 2 or 3 cam port polish race rebuild kit the works once that boost kicks in wooohooo what types are compatible does anyone know
Instead of one monster turbo trying to feed it, look at two smaller ones. Generally this will reduce Turbo lag (find something that spools at about 2200-2500rpm. And do a nice twin throttle body setup. Couple that with a good sized intercooler and a turbo setup can be damn nice on the buick V6.
That said, if I were to go down the forced induction path myself, I'd probably look at a supercharger. Boost from the moment you touch the throttle and you don't have to worry about screwing around with custom exhaust setups.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
twin turbo thats nice would it fit under my hood what types are there for my car
Check this Commodore for Sales. Turbo station wagon.

not to bad at all im tossing between twin turbo or supercharger or even a supercharged stroker now that sounds sweet
that would have to be the uglyest Vn wagon ive eva seen
i bought a t3/t4 turbo. AR was .63 and .6. i cna't find one on ebay at the moment but there is usually a couple there..
after reading an email from the fella i bought the manifolds off i should have bought this turbo according to what he says.. reckon it would spool up under 2500.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BRAND-NEW-INT...QQcmdZViewItem
so i am hoping the turbo i have will not spool up too late. i spose i will have to see how things go when i finally get off my arse and turbo the car..
as for twin turbo's i reckon that would be pretty cool, but i reckon it would cost a fair bit more to do.. and you could use two t28's or a couple of small t3's

that is the turbo i bought for my v6.. i hope it will do the job
I think your turbo will start hooking at 2000-2500 rpm anyway, perfect sizeOriginally Posted by defa
you don't want it boosting when your cruising down the highway, I bought a .60 .84 A/R T4 for mine
that's a little on the big size but still O K
there ya go then.. that has given me a little piece of mind then... if i ever do it that is... the way i am going it will never be done...
my pulsar has a ca18det in it.. with a t25.. spools up perfect for that car.. doesn't boost while cruising then when ya put the foot down instant boost.. i am still putting a bigger turbo on it though.. not much bigger.. but a little bigger...
Go turbo. I have supercharged my vn and now i am sick of it. To change the psi you have to go **** around with companies that want to take lots of your money and buy a new pulley. With a turbo you simply change the boost when you get it tuned. Alot easier if you want to have fun with a different pound boosts
