Default Power window goes down but not up

my window goes down but not up why does my window do this??

if i reverse the polarity of the plug in the door the window will go up but not down so the motor is ok.

is this a switch issue or is it an issue with the relay module

Dead electric window switch, i had the same problem with my calais and it was the switch. By reversing the switch you eliminate faulty motor and wiring loom which only leaves the switch to be dead!

it could be the relay module as i was reversing the polarity at the regulator itself

i pulled the module apart and everything looks good except for the back of the pcb some of the solder joins look burnt but they still have condinuity

heres a picture of what i mean

Ok, sorry i thought you were reversing the polarity at the switch. Try reversing the polarity at the switch, this will tell you if it is the switch or in the module & wiring area. If it is not the switch check the wiring where it goes through the door shell to the pillar as the wiring breaks in there from the door opening & closing all the time.
