    Default odd engine behavior???

hey guys, a few days ago i painted my fuel rails and put it all back in, i didnt buy new seals or anything tho, they looked fine, and i cleaned out my tb and the bend, and they seemed fine too, and yesty i noticed i was alittle low on oil so i topped that up this morning. but now wen i start the engine will be at about 800 rpm then drop too about 500 - 400 rpm almost dying then slowly go back up, or it will try and start and just turn over forabit and fire up but unless i put abit of throttle in it will die (happened twice now).

ive also noticed a rattle i thought it was my trany but id say its just a rock sitting on my exaust or something like that, i hope.

so any ideas what it could be causing it to start like that???

when i start mine it is hard and a lot of the time starts when i turn starermotor off?? then sound like its going to die for 5-10sec and unless i give it a bit of throttle it does. alwase starts tho so never bothered me. i thought it may be the distributer (probably timing) coz mine is a s 1 and apparently the go often but i'll leave it till it is completley dead . i am likley wrong tho so othere opinions will help me to.
