Question car has suddenly gotten warmer

    hey all,

today i got my P's and hav been drivin my car most of the day.. later in the day i went for a cruise around my area and realised the temp guage went up to the half way point after about 5mins of drivin...
im not sure if the guage has stuck and never shown temp cause i gav it all a tap and it when up

where should the needle be on average?? and should i be worried

After you drive cars for a while and theyre all warmed up, they take a very long time to cool back down, so if you had been drivn around most of the day id say the car was hot and when you got into it later on it hadnt cooled down much coz it takes so long, so i wouldnt be worried. About half way is fine, its when it starts going higher that you have to start worrying. Just the remember, the engine runs better when warm, not cold.

it seems to sit on the 3 last bar to the hot... why would my car suddenly increase in temp and stay ther?
would it be a fuse to the fan or is radiator somehow blocked?

what does u guys car temp show?

If your car is going well over half something is not right. On hot days 30°c + my car sits just under the third notch from the bottom, and if i let it idle too long the thermal fan will cut in the minute it goes over the 3rd notch, (exactly half on the temp gauge) and then it will go back down and the fan will shut off.

Normal conditions, its on about the second bar. So my guess, your radiator needs to be flushed out.
