Default 9 Days Left! Need Quik Advice!

hi guys, still building this bloody commodore, i've got 9 days left to finish the interior, build the boot, swap the tail shaft, drive shaft, suspension, engine and of course my gear box. At the moment i was wondering how to get the doors on and off as i need them on 2day to install the central locking, and get the interior finished. is it just a simple case of squeezing that pin 2gether and bashig it down and pulling it through? any advice will be much appreciated

ok doors are easy and hard at the same time, each door has a 2pins in it, HDT_aero is the king lol, anyway i hammered the pins out a little big then just got plyers and ripped them out, it will be a good idea to get some new pins ($2.50 each, $1 for the caps, you'll need 8 pins for the entire car) im not sure how to disconnect the wiring if u have it or how to remove that center arm, maybe someone else can lend a hand as i want to know aswell as im about to paint my doors...

yeh half way there mate, got the driver side door off and the passenger door behind it. crc'd them hardout to get the pins to move, bashed them in, to get a bit of movement, then hammered them back up, then used a bolt to get it in a bit more (stiff as all hell!!!) then grabbed the top end with plyers and bashed the plyers with a hammer till it came free. hell of a mission tho. took me and a mate 2 hours to take 6 doors off and put 2 doors on. (have two commodores) were stuck on taking off the last 2 doors, gonna have another crack 2morra. its very simple, but its such a hard task.

as for wiring, the original 4 doors i took off which had central locking, i had to pull the door skins off, then disconnect the wiring, the wires connect like a simple speaker, 2 bits of plug that push together, but anyway i had to unplug that, pul it bak through the doors and body back to under the dash and disconnect it all. then in the new car i was putting the doors back onto, i had 2 put the doors on, run the wires through the body, and the seals into the doors reconnect them, throw the door skins back on, wire the main central locking together and bam ur done haha. its sounds hard but it's not. If u want a more detailed description i can give u a step by step guide, its no trouble n if its gonna help you out i dont mind at all. and for power windows, it ###s me, haven't had to deal with that.

if you open the little compartment at the back that u lift up, there should be a carpet insert at the bottom, pull it out and remove the 2 screws, if they are in, then dont worry. next the part around the gear stick. the little ash tray should pop out, which should give you a good grip around the middle bit, that should pop out, depending wether yours is auto or manual, not entirely sure about the manual as mines auto, but yeh it pops off then manouvers around the gear stick. next remove the white plastic casing, which is simple, just 4 screws and a simple push in bit at the top, take that off n slide the casing down off the gear stick, next unzip the hand brake wrap. then grab the centre console from the ass end near the back seat and pull straight up levering the front down, and removing it off the handbrak, then slowly move it towards the back of the car, and generally just jimmy it and play around with it until it pops off. its quite simple, mite post some pics 4 u soon.

There is also a door pin removal tool, which only makes the easier a bit easier.
It just grabs onto the pin that is hanging out. You bash this tool, the pins just pop straight out.
