being a series one manual box,if thats all your buying,(just the box),all you need is a series 2 manual flywheel(8 bolt),no adaptors .....

yep ive done the same thing mate. series 2 vn calais but i had a series 1 6 bolt flywheel and box. the box is the same. to get an 8-bolt series 2 flywheel is almost impossible i searched for about a month before i HAD to get the car out of the garage.

i bought mine from castlemaine rodhshop http://www.rodshop.com
it was $275 and they want $100 for a ring gear but i heated the one up off the series1 flywheel and put it on the castlemaine flywheel. i didnt balance mine either but it seems fine, no vibrations.

hey man, yeah the rod shop is the only place i know of but its a rip off, after cod i paid 295 for a 6 bolt adaptor, i had a s1 motor and a s1 box, both 6 bolt but still difference size in crank, im looking at the possability of making my own but hey have custom made bolts to fit as well as some other part thing

if u dont have the fly wheel already a new one is aorund 550 to suit. 6 bolt that is, hope that helps. sorry for late reply been in sale doing a course, car is on blocks now and ihave 4 days to fit my manual, gonna be fun lol
