    Question tail shaft weight?

    hay again as we all know im rebuilding my vn, got one more week to finish off, im completely transferring the tail shaft over, anyone got any ideas on how heavy its gonna be, i just dont wanna pull it all apart, wanna transfer and bolt it all up as one piece. Any one got any knowledge on this? As i want to do it myself, everyones at work unless your free this week and live in the general north brisbane area! haha thanx heaps guys.

    It comes in two pieces so it shouldn't be too heavy. I know the good old kingswood tailshafts that were in one piece weren't heavy.

    yeh i've decided on pulling the shafts and the diff and the suspension and casing out all as seperate pieces, hopefully i can pull it all out and reinstall it in a day.

    the tailshaft weighs about 15kg stuff all you should definatley be doing it together stuff pulling it apart just to transfere it.... every time ive removed or installed a vn tailshaft ive never pulled it in half

    just unbolt the center bearing bracket and the flange bolts and the whole thing will just slide out
