Okay here's the story
For the last 2 years i've had VS seats in my VP, i recommend everyone to do this, the VS are so much comfier.
I was driving quite happily home one day from work when all of a sudden my drivers seat decided it wanted to go the opposite way to where the car was going. The left/front mount on the floor broke on me. and to make matters worse, 5 mins later the height adjustment also broke. So here I was drivng home on a seat that was doing a great impersonation of Steady Eddy.
Next morning I rang Holden and asked how much it would cost me to get a replacement rail system for a VS seat. After recieving a reply from holden and after a lie down to recover ($150.00 just for the rail). I decided it was time for a new/second hand seat.
I rang around a few places and discovered to my horror that VS seats are getting harder to come by, would i have to return to the dreaded VP seat?
After recieving quotes from 150 for the seat and rail to 220 for one seat i tried one last place and was told "yeah mate got one here for 80 bucks". Relived that the VP seat would not be making a reappearence I went to collect the seat and discovered that it was in fact a VP seat. NNNNOOOOOOOOOO. But i needed a seat that didnt act like it was drunk, so i took it home. Once home i removed the old seat and put in the new one and to my dismay discovered anew why i hated the vp seat. out she came.
After a sweet suggestion from one of you guysI removed the rail system from the vp seat and bolted it on to the VS seat. AAAHHHHHHHHHH much better.
Moral of the story, replace the VP seats as soon as you can, and always ring the wreckers first for a part.
lol, good stuff, i was given a set of vs seats for my vn from my work, because theyd stuck racing seats in the vs commy work car. i got them for nothing, perfect seats. im gonna try the vt coversion for next car tho (another vn wagon)
