Hey people, being reading on this board for quite some time and finally decided to join up.
Okay, so i'll cut the long story short. Had an accident the other day. The front bumper on my VP needs replacing and so does the drivers side headlight.
I can get a bumper from the wreckers for like $120, and a headlight for $50. My question is... can someone give me an estimate on what the labour involved will come to?
There is extremely slight damage done to the bonnet, but it's not even worth fixing seeing as i'm ditching the car in a few months.
Radiator is fine, and mechanically, the car is running the same.
Like I said, the panel damage is no bother, I just need the bumper replaced and headlight replaced.
Any Idea what i'd be looking at?
Thanks in advance people!
Hell...if you pick them up from the wreckers, the headlight will take you all of about 5 minutes to change (that includes opening the beer after you're done). As for the bumper, I've never changed mine, but there are a few how-to's around the place, and from what I've read, that takes maybe 20 minutes (easier with two people of course).
Save your pennies for something else, do it yourself. All you need is a screwdriver and maybe a socket or two with a ratchet. And a spare afternoon, because, let's face it...if you're anything like me, a 10 minute 'check' on the engine means that I take out the throttle body and start playing and put it back in 5 hours later![]()

hell man, if ur gonna ditch it just get a drill and some text screws, they should hold it on lol.
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
haha silicone and double sided tape :P
front bar its a piece of piss. its like 4 screws on the inside and when you have ur bar off put the headlight in which is about 3 screws. dont bother takin it to a mechanic or anything do it urself its much easier and less $$$
You put the beers on and im sure someone around you area will do it for you!!

Thanks for the speedy replies! Called commparts in Sydney. $90 for the bumper, $30 for the reo, and $40 for the headlight. Pretty damn good prices in my book. Same colour bumper also!
Yeah i'm definetely going to do it myself, there's slight panel damage done to the vehicle, but nothing i'm too concerned about.
Thanks again people, much appreciated.
