second hand compressor vn

Hi all

My vn has had a dead compressor for about 2 years. I have found a second hand compressor. Apart from a regas what alse am I likely to be looking at to get the system going again? Is it worth the effort/money?

Hey, i had the same problem i found a 2nd hand compressor from the wreckers for $90 but whats to say it won't shit it self like your original one did, a new one (genuine) will set you back $600. You will probably want to get the TX Valve changed also they are known to shit em self alot, for a regeas and tx valve you could be looking at anything from $150 to $300, all i did to mine was buy the shorter drivebelt so it would bypass the A/C compressor, it is worth it if it was the start of summer but its almost over anyway.
