noisy vp startup

When i turn the ignition, the car can sometimes start first kick but it usually takes a fewcycles and there is a noise that sounds metallic with every startup. So, as it's ticking over, the "ticking" is metallic! Startermotor????????? Please help.

could be a crack in the flywheel, if it gets worse do somthing about it
