Hey,
Just wondering which VN engine, out of the Holden series would swap directly..
My current engine clocking up now 250,xkmh is starting to flash a few lights.. and loosing out.. Not really interested in a rebuild if its going to be the same price as a newer engine. And i probarbly wont be doing the conversion myself either
So id like to know where to be saving my money.
So just after a bit of info if anything Upto even the WH Statesman would fit in, since thats also EcoTec
Thanks-Alot![]()
im pretty sure all the motors in the vn series can be swaped around,
for a rebuild on the v8 304 off memmory it was gonna cost me around $2500, thats head work done as well. if not try checking throw the trading post.
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
What about non vn series is what im talking about vr/vs/vt
all the v series motors from the vn upto the vr will swap directly, no body mods needed, all mounts are the same for both gearbox and engine
how ever not one of the engines will work in your vn
you can only swap a vn motor with a vn motor, a series 1 vn will only swap with a series1 vn, same for a series 2 vn, will only swap with a series2, the list goes on
reason for this is totaly different wring looms, it's not just a simple case of plug and play.
besides, swaping from a vn motor to a vr motor for example would be illigel, would need a engeners cert witha mod plate (qld rule there)
cheers
