ok well ive got a choice to put in the vn. eaither the vz v6. or a vr v8.
the vr v8 off memmory puts out sumthing liek 165 kw , the v6 puts out 190kw
i have both full conversions.but i just gotta deside witch one would be best.
they both have a set of extractors on them ,and are 5 speed`s
i scored the v8 from a mate in canberra , and the vz v6 from a guy who got arse ended.
so what choice would you all make?
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
ummm well are u sure its a 190kw motor? (out of the SV6) otherwise it might just be the standard one which is like 175 i think??
but yeah, i'd go the v8 for sure!! sooo much more potential and if u are looking to make modifications later down the track the v8 has heaps more mods already tried and proven for it!
not to mention its a bloody v8!!!![]()
cat? isnt that an animal? no i dont want one in my exhaust system thankyou very much...

or give me the v8 and put the v6 in.![]()
with the v6 wouldnt you need to get an engineers certificate because that engine didnt come out with that car?
either way go the 8. nothing beats the note from a 5l v8
I think tuning wise a quad cam alloy v6 is lighter and more potent. mods may not be as readily available as yet. but being that holden engineered the same motor too be twin turbo'd to put into their torana prototype car, I'd say there would be plenty of tuning shops out there that could easily pull 400+ KW's from that motor after a bit of planning.
the 5L v8 well it's got plenty of grunt for what it is, plenty of readily available mods on the market and could probably achieve around 300kw's relatively easily.
the v8 would pull more chicks... but the 6 would blow the clothes of them
