Default Improving airflow in a manifold?

    hey all,

i just accquired another air intake manifold to fiddle with and i just wanted to ask about improving the flow on the standard series 1 VN V6 manifold....

you see, i have bought a 70mm throttle body, and the engine runs great with it but at the same time i think that the manifold itself has some major restrictions? Can porting the manifold improve performance?

    thanks

go crazy with the porting and polishing dude and see if you can find a flow bench to test it on afterwards....

Don't the standard VN manifolds flow to about 400bhp anyway?

I think the Commodore V6 would benefit more from variable tuned inlet manifolding over the standard if you were after a significant increase in performance. The benefit would be an increase across the torque band rather than at the top end. The manifold thats on there is more suited to forced induction such as that from a supercharger or turbocharger.
