    Default heater core

    S#!T losing coolant is there any chance of changing the heater core in my vn with out losing the gas in my aircon?
    I didn't do it

    i had to disconnect the high and low pressure lines from the center of the firewall to get something off, i cant remember what it was though. but im pretty sure you have to d/c it. its fully illegal and bad for the environment, your meant to get it properly done 1kg of r12 gas is equivalent to 4,000tons of carbon dioxide! but anyway my heatercore was a bastard, some people cut the pipes and use rubber hoses to join it up with the heater hoses but they leak after a while.
