Just swapped engine an gearbox (auto unfortunately) in my VN with one from a VP station wagon. (Mine had lots of real hard k's on it (go the grassy paddocks)).
While it was mostly straight forward, a strange thing has happened;
at 100km/h it used to pull somewhere around 1800-1900 rpm.
Now it is sitting a needle width above 1500rpm.
Was there any ratio changes between any of these models? or is it likely to be some sort of sensor not right (it feels like its doing 1500 an i keep up with cars on the highway).
It is confusing me somewhat so any help is greatly appreciated.
(am wrecking a vp wagon as well if anyone is interested(and vn engine))
where abouts you at??? i need a few vp parts and im interested in the vn engine
ill swap you one for a lolliepop. lemon

I have a VN that sits on about 1500rpm in overdrive when im doing 100km/h. Perhaps it was just your old engine, although I do have a 91 model with the VP update engine so then again it could simply be the slight changes between engines and the extra 2kw and 2NM of torque.
