Default Panel Beating Tail light panel

ok ok guys, i wasnt looking last saturday and accidently backed into a magna at 5km/h

i smashed my rear tail light (got a new one for $20, calais tinted)
all thats left to fix is the boot alignement (needs bending but its not serious)

    and the tail light panel...

I took it to 2 diffrent shops and the pricks wanted $450-500 to fix it.....

its a tiny peice of metal...

its held on by 2 welds, i was considering.. could i get one welded on (same colour) insted or would it be best to get this beaten out, if i get it beaten out can anyone recomend a cheap panel beater round the SE suburbs of melbourne?

the frame beneath the tail light needs to be pulley out but i can do that my self no problem

    see pictures

    cheers

500 to fix that small amount of damage seems unresonable. i would keep searching for a better panel beater... try it yaself if u reckon u can do it

First thing is, Did you leave a note with contact details on the magna's windscreen that you reversed into, if not your an Asshole... And not one bit curtious...

And secondly that's not exactly an easy fix either, that Tail light sill panel costs $75 from holden, needs to be tacked on, including painting they would blend your back left quarter to match, so works out around $250-$300 average from quotes at work...

Thirdly, Can you take out your back left tail light and take a photo with the boot open of the inside of that sill panel for me?? I'll ask around at work on tuesday if we can do a cheapy...

    Cheers

ok first of all, the first thing i did was find the owner of the magna,

it turns out it was my friends mate who i later got drunk with, he didnt care lol, i told him i was insured and id pay for it as it was CLEARLY my fault
hozy, im thinking of going to the wreckers and getting the same panel of a white vn, paint should match up and i could either rivit it in, or get it fitted, either tacked or welded, that way it would remove the painting cost, and yeah ill take a picture later..

    cheers for the help tho

Good luck getting a white panel from a wreckers to match your car without respraying. I've looked at a lot of white VN's side by side and no two are exactly the same. Lucky for you it's just a small panel, so it shouldn't look too bad if they are a little different.

just think about it, how would you like someone rear ending you and running off???
it would just f*&% your life up... your weak if you cant admit you did something wrong and cant accept liability for it... pitty im sooooo poor =( who wants to go on a shooting rampage at safeway with me???

yeah, actually ive found perfect match's from the wreckers, ie my rear bumper when i got it... (before sanding)

but would riviting it in place work???
i dont have alot of money at the moment due to my employeer screwing me up majourly, (they owe me in excess of $2500, and they found a way not to pay me) hence why i havnt got the rest of the bodykit yet and my cars falling to peices because it needs simple repairs

oh well, start a new job on monday so should be all good
    Cheers,

oh yeah hozy, from inside the main boot support isnt bent, however the surrounding panel is, shouldnt be hard to pull out i have confidence i could repair this my self for a fraction of the cost that a shop would charge... id love to get it professionally repaired but like i said i just dont have the dosh
