engine/trans. noise?

my vp v6 auto(210000k's) seems pretty noisy-no rattles just like a ssssshhhhh kind of noise when accelerating-louder in first and second. you hear it echoing off cars etc. i heard a vn v6 accelerating today-auto and i couldnt hear it. is it my engine or trans due to being worn? any way to quieten it down a bit?-exhaust?

mine does trhe same when i put my second engine in. i thought it was a flange not done up propperly, becuase yeah only when at lights or bouncing off qwalls you can hear it, kind a airy sound but not really, dont worry dude, just turn up your stez or get an exhuast should cover it up

if everything is running smoothly,sounds like it could be you exhaust,muffler or resonator (little hole in either)

i bet if you look on your exhaust manifold there will be a crack standard on just about every vn/p lol mines the same

ok that explains it, the vn i heard sounded like it had an exhaust so when i fit one it should muffle it a bit for me. thanks for the replys

i get a buzzing noise when im in Gear . its weird .. kinda loud when im in Reverse, but maybe its cos when im R im usually parking car or near a wall =/
