Can a vn v8 TB be put on a vn v6. I have been told yes and no. Supposably the v8's dont have sensors so my car wont start if i put one on my v6. other ppl have told me you can but at full open throttle you will F@#K up the sensors.
Im considering on getting a 70mm TB, but want to know what probs i may encounter as it seems it is not as easy as just swapping them over.
errr what sensors dont they ahve????
throttle position and idle air control are the only 2 on the throttle body itself
this came from a high performance car workshop they said it wont work. Im just after feedback on the topic and comments on if a bigger tb are worth doing
for sure they are definately worth doing..... just doesnt seem logical that they dont bolt up as i picked up a 75 mm throttle body and it bolts straight up form the 70 mm
75mm!!! i thought they only went to 72mm for the v6, learn something new everyday...
Damn...75mm! Where did you get that from and how much?
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
no mines a v8.... was at capa so i thought id snap it up while i could cos it was cheap enough..
oh ok, still, that is pretty big, 10mm bigger than stock!! im getting a v8 65mm thottle body for my car soon, hopefully that will increase my acceleration. i thought the 65mm t/b was big for a v6, untill i read up on hozy's car, he has a 72mm t/b, that is huge, maybe i should invest my money in twin throttle bodies, that will bring my power up...
70mm throttle body should bolt up fine and work fine, sensors should be same, all same, the v6 tb is actually 68-70mm where it bolts to elbow, but gets smaller inside it, to 60mm, so should be fine.
so what high performance car shop did u hear this from S pack???
how much is it for a v8 TB
