do you know where the break is?

If it's broken at the lever that you'd normally pull, you should be able to get a pair of vice-grips onto it, and pull like hell to pop it.

If it's busted 'somewhere' in between the lever and the bonnet latch, you may have to get under the car, cut the insulation away from the release cable, and, again, using vice-grips on the cable, pull for all you're worth.

Some people claim to be able to pop it with a screwdriver coming at it from below the latch, all I'll say is that I NEVER had any luck trying that on mine.

DAMN...sucks to be you right now doesn't it? No just kidding. It happens to everyone at some point, you just got unlucky with where it broke.

Post up with how you go.

So how'd you get it done with a screwdriver? As I said I never had any luck with it, then again, I didn't stick with it for an hour!

i eventually got the screwdriver up behind the centre spring and pushed it to the drivers side while holding the bonnet down to keep tension off .
    that and alot of swearing

Well done on getting it with the screwdriver, I'm going to have to practice that one.

the easiest way ive found id to lift the bonnet just enough to unscrew the grill and then just use your fingers to push the lever toward the drivers side

as long as the bonnet isnt badly out of alignment its not too hard to do
im not admiring your car im looking in disgust
