Just wondering if I'll do this myself or not, Can you drop the strut off the tower and drop it down far enough to undo the bolt and replace the bearing without pulling the whole strut off?. I was just want to know how much effort it is to replace just the bearings, the bad thing is that I have some new shockers that I should put in while I have them off but I'm not sure if I really want to do that
you can get away with disconnecting a few things and pivotting the strut out the side of the guard when it's still connected to the wishbone etc...
but for the effort of doing that, you might as well do the few extra bolts.
it's not a hard job at all, but you will need a rattle gun for the bearing plate nut.
and you might as well put the shockers in, because once you take off the bearing plate, it's one more nut to replace the shock absorber![]()
