Red face Pics of your well used, loved and abused VN & VP

The other post for pics of VNs & VPs is too classy and out out of my league. Someone suggested i make my own post for the 'neglected' and lesser quality cars. So, here it is.
Since my computer mysteriously ate the last lot of pics of my car, i had to take some new ones. Now i have discovered why 'someone' gave me their digital camera. ITS CR#P UP CLOSE. That and i couldnt see the screen and had to use the old fashioned viewfinder.
About my car: Totally stock as a rock VN Berlina. Rust around windows and on pillars. Front windscreen rubber was cut off by previous owner. (IDIOT) Clear topcoat is peeling off like sunburn. Oil leak, coolant leak and injector seals need replacing. Likes to almost stall at the lights, but goes hard!! Pioneer deck to a 2X50w amp with 2way 150w Jensen 6" speakers and a 350w bridged amp to a 600w single Pioneer sub. Surprisingly it cranks very loud and very strong. The NOS control box is obviously a FAKE, but everyone asks "have you got NOS?!" I always say yes and the hit the switches and make the power windows work. The Pioneer deck is in as far as it goes, there is no more space behind it.

Please post pics of your well loved car because i dont want to feel like i'm the only one who cant afford to ressurect a potentially great car.

i bought my car a year ago now, and when i got it, it was the biggest heap of s***. these are some of the things that have gone wrong with my car over the last year... ENJOY!!!

the front bumpers paint had all flaked off, the grille was the crappy original grey colour, the window seals were all fallen off, the hoodlining was sagging, it had no stereo, level 1 dash, stains everywhere over the carpet, the alarm would always go off at night, the horn would go off in the middle of traffic, it looked like it had been raised about 10 inches, it had mud on the insides of all the doors(at first i thought it was rust). blown head gaskets, inlet manifold gaskets and blocked radiator, rusted out exhaust, heater didnt work

so your probly asking why i bought it? well it had 130,000 on the clock, and had no oil leaks or nothing, pretty good buy for $800, and it is a first car. i have spent alot of money over the last year and now it is looking in near new condition. oh and by the way, yes i have fixed all of those faults, it took time and money, but i love it to death. when someone tells me how to resize my pics, i will post of the interior and everything else.

this should be made a sticky

lol, well, it had been sitting in the one spot for over 6 months. its gonna be a long rebuild, i got so much planned for it, showcar

i think they used it for camping n shit, as it had heaps of chipbark in the back seat, lots of mud under guards, etc.

$150 is a very good buy! By the time I add up going to the wreckers picking up parts etc, I'd be better off buying something like that. But I'd never find one for $150. Even the light at the back of the hoodlining works!

lol, yeh, its straighter body than my current wagon. just look around mate, you'll be surprised what you find sitting in peoples yards, just make them an offer, or plain old ask.

and im only throwing out a couple of broken pieces of plastic trim, better than my current one again.

Very true that. I guess there is never any harm in asking or making an offer.

Thats a great idea! Why didnt i think of that?
I'm currently unemployed, 2 kids, renting, paying maintenance and getting the usual bills and living expenses. Cool! I'll just ask the government to double my allowance, they won't mind.

When i buy a car, i always buy the underdog. (can't afford the flashy ones) It takes a while but i usually get them back to good condition, usually by wheeling and dealing to get a part i need or some work done that i cant do. Because i cant get everything i want done in under 6 months, it takes ages. So i CAN complain. When i am working, i have no time to get things done and when i'm unemployed, my time is used looking for work or helping other people.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway. (care to donate to the "rescue my car" fund? lol)

Cool! I wish mine looked that good. I like the size of your pics, you can see a lot more detail.

    Talking Pic sizes

If you have a graphics editor program like Paintshop pro or Photo XL etc., you can open the pics and resize/reduce the size of the pic. If you like the original size for yourself, save the resized one as another name.

I think the idea of this post is for people to "brag" about the problems of their cars mate... not to bitch about them. I reckon it's a good idea.
Not all of us have decent jobs with enough money to save to fix our cars. Some of us have kids to raise (and they cost more than cars do in the long run) My wagon has a few probs too but I'd rather "brag" about them in here and spend my cash on my son than build up a street machine and see my son in rags...
Lighten up bud... this post is for fun...

Funny thing I think we all have problems with>>> our fuel tanks always seem to be getting empty....
