clear side indicators and clear boot garnish for vp?
got the clear aftermarket taillights today, just trying to make my car look smoother and cant seem to find clear boot garnish (i wanna get rid of that red see throughish bit) and clear side indicators (cant find either) any help would rox
well clear side indicators can be found just about anywhere (autobarn,supercheap.etc..)...as for a "clear boot garnish"...ive never heard of one being available...
yeh i think ill have to put a vn garnish on my vp, the local all holden wreckers said u cant get clear indicators for a vp, will ones from a vr/s fit?
umm..not too sure vr/vs had clear indicators..maybe series lll vs did..all the rest either had square or oval orange ones...so you'll need vt ones, i cant see why they wouldnt fit, other people have done it.
hmmm...i just assumed,ive seen vp's with the clear indicators.
what was wrong with the vt ones?..too big?

the vt ones are a str8 fit just pull the old ones out and poke the new ones in

Vt clear lenses fit, I have just put some on my VP.
As for the boot garnish a mate of mine put the clear tail lights in and sprayed his boot garnish in gloss black.
Looks pretty tidy........food for thought.
hmm, my car is white so black boot bit would look funny, ill have to look into getting vt ones for it, they only had vy ones which didnt fit, but ill certainly lok into it
vx were the first model to come out with clear side indicators. just go to coventry's and ask for a set, will cost u about 30bucks. and they just push straight into the holes in the side of the car. 30sec job. as for clear boot garnish......if u can find a wrecked silver vp or any other colour which isnt to dark they tend to come with clear garnishes not red ones......as i noticed last nite when i walked past one!

nah it was vts taht came out with clear indercators first, but ive heard that u need to get new light bulbs for the indercators, ones that are orange because the indercator is clear so a normal bulb wouldnt work

the blinker lights that you are talking about are vtII to vx. they fit straight on. you do need a orange globe. just go to you local holden dealer and they will sort it all out for you. wont cost u mega $$$ and look sweet

yeah ive got a vp i was thinkin of doin the same thing with the boot garnish but i wouldnt know how to get the clear boot garnish i know where to get clear tailies but thats it, im gonna do what vpdood said look foe a wrecked one and just play with it see what works
yeh, i paid 120 bucks for the rear lights with globes
