    Default 3800 V6 stock turbo

    Hey all,

i was lookin around through google at Buick V6's and i came across a turbo version of it. They put it in a few cars but the one that cought my eye was this White Pontiac trans am: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...es/0512gm_tta/

Does any one know anything at all about these type of motor and how they relate to the Buick V6's that power our mighty commodores. Because, and correct me if im wrong but you cant really pump alot of boost into a stock V6 without blowing head gaskets... 3 - 4 Psi if im not mistaken is the limit.

    Cheerz, Zach

I've read a thread from a guy that run 18psi in a stock one long term. 10 psi seems totally safe if the engine is nice and fresh from what I've read

18psi through a stock motor? I couldn't see it lasting too long term though. How the hell did he get away with that?

Vengance has also run that much boost hasn't it? apart from pistons and rod bolts (and I'm not even sure if it had those in the end) that bottom end is stock too, you have to remember there a heaps of people in the states running Buick V6's with over 1000hp and they are pretty much the same engine but with a strong crank/rods/pistons

ya reckon one of those inlet manifolds would fit on a series 1 motor... that would be the go

I thought Vengance was running at 10.5, but hey...I could be wrong on that. Mind you, I know you're right about the yanks running 1000bhp buick engines, those guys are insane.
