Since i bought my v6 VN 5spd it has always had a jerking/hopping when going slowly (below 10kms) with no throttle, as soon as you put throttle on or push the clutch in it goes away but. Anyone know what this is as its a bit of an annoyance.
Cheers
mate your probably about to get slammed.. dodgy cltuch maybe
Mines the same and I put a new clutch in last year. I hope it is something simple...maybe unijoints are worn?

Yeah im in exactly the same situation, new clutch in last year aswell, before I bought it of a mate. maybe the mechanic didnt fit something properly?Originally Posted by str8up
My clutch is the way out already, I don't know if thats my fault, i don't treat it too bad.
I adjusted the clutch cable so that I can get a bit more out of it and now it doesn't jerk anymore.
Just out of interest what brand is your clutch? Mines Excedy, maybe its a bad batch or a common problem?

try changing the fuel filter first,it's not a regular occurance, but lots of people tell you you have to change the ECU(but you don't have to),sometimes it may be a fuel setting in the ECU that is causing this jerking.
Yeah but when i push the clutch in it goes away and the engine doesnt sound like it's being deprived of fuel when its idling. It just feels like the clutch it engaging and disengaging etc. when rolling until you accelerate or push the clutch in. I will observe next time i go for a drive if it does it in all the gears when rolling slowly or just 1st gear just to seeOriginally Posted by samuels
yeah it's called pid rooting in the trade, and it's fuel relatedOriginally Posted by vn6pwr
it will do it in all gears, with the exception of 5th,as you don't use that in city blocks, actually 1..2..3 gear you will notice it,it only happens when your in town and just moving?
