I thought they came with 15"?, Anyway i myself wouldn't go past 17" I think even HSV didn't go past that with the VP's.
But i do like the VT Senator 17" rims myself and with your white car i think they might look great.

the series 1 vp execs came out with the 14, the series 2 had 15 on everything. i reckon those vp gts(vr clubsport) rims would look a treat. better then anything crome(not a fan of crome)

It depends on what state you are in as to what size you can go to. It is often a misconception that it's only a 2" increase. Usually it is so that the tyre/rim rolling diameter does not change within a predetermined margin - in Qld it is +15 mm or - 26mm.

There is also a great place to see the rims and they have a range from all model Holden's HSV's. http://www.##################/wheel.htm

series 2 onwards and series 1 vacationer is 15", if you have a S2 with 14's i want to see it as the wheels will not fit over the 290mm rotors and calipers that came on S2 and S1 vacationer

the whole 2" + myth is for basically insurance. as mentined above you will find in most road autority's guidline (available on their respective websites) that its the total diameter of rim and tyree, so if you go one inch bigger on the wheel and 1 inch smaller on the profile you will be exactly the same, that said i beleive on vn/vp's that 19's are on the very edge of that diameter, and that alone would provide a very bumpy ride

you don't have to get them rolled if it's stock height,
all depends on how low your car is i guess.

I think your guards will be safe with 17", My car originally had 17" VS Senator rims on it and it was very low, My nephews mate has a VN with 17" Group A i think they are I'll look around but he has that slightly lowered also no prob's, I think it's the tyre width that might hold you back if you go wider on tyre size. I think it's the straight cut rear guard that is the biggest problem?
