Air con

hey, does anyone else's aircon compressor make a loud noise when you turn it on? and make it sound different to rev?

it also drains alot of power for the motor, in my dad's Vr you couldnt tell wether it was on or not

my mates VP has that problem although it doesnt seem to overly drain engine power. The air con place said to just get a new compresser as the barings are stuffed

would one form the wreckers do? or is it just better to get a new one.
is it an easy job to replace?

the air con will make a clunk noise when u turn it on cause its a clutch that activates it when u turn it on it will engage and disengage or maybe mine is a little rooted but i get minimal power loss if any

ok this is what my mate said to me just then "needs new compressor..new gas..new oil..and some little pin hole thing near the condensor"

they also have a pressure switch that adjust gar revs when you turn air con this could be one of your drama's

yeah when i use my air con it does the same thing!, just thought it was always like that. i try not to use it for that reason. drains power and makes my car sound like it will blow up! thats when i have it set to 18C on my climate control, it lessens if i put the fan speed down to 1.

is the pinhole thing the drain that gets clogged and makes water piss out all over your foot?
