best manual shift times in auto ?

I was just wondering the best rpm ranges to shift the gears manually in a auto v6 to achieve the best possible standing 400meters time? i was just going to leave it in the third D but, someone told me id get a better time shifting it manually.

It would take a lot a practise to be able to pick better shift points than the gearbox can. Many people get their best results leaving it in '3' (or the first 'D' on VNs).

yeah get a mad shift going with your gear selection. Then spend a grand on a new tranny in a couple of months. ha

Max power is 4800rpm. Max Torque is ? 3200rpm i think.
Find your spot in there or just above only you will know,
My old Tranny was good for 4900rpm jumped better into 2nd, But that's me and my car you and yours might be different.
