i paid 100 bucks for a whole housing from a VS minus the brakes, rotors and axles from a wrecker, few hours later and the ratio change to 3.45 and we have a twitchy ass ute

Is that from a Diff place under $1000?. Fitted?

My nephew got 3.91 In his Mums VL Calais, Made a big difference to it, Wasn't to bad on the freeway also. Full change for $1200.
I wouldn't mind a LSD but then i might never get a newer car if i spend to much on the VeePee

my ute is running 3.45, knocks the speedo out 10-15km/h and brings the revs up to about 2200 at 100km/h but when the foot meets the floor it doesn't bog threw gears it just gets up and gets moving.

I'd consider 3.9's if i had a 6 speed as i do a bit of highway cruising and 3.9 would be reving just a bit to high to acheive any economy on the highway

a guy at work got his vr senator done, 3.9:1 full lsd rebuilt for $950
you can buy a center from a vl turbo its 3.45:1 for about $300 and they all came lsd but it would pay to get it rebuilt, if your mid-sideways and the clutches slip your in for a hefty heart attack. i personally like mini-spools better, they arent as bad as people make them out to be, they are 100% locked so they do awesome burnouts without the burning out of lsd clutches and having to get it rebuilt every 4 months. and if you just go slow around round abouts and u-turns they shouldnt snap axles. my mate has the most clapped out vn ive ever seen and he has a spool and thrashes the shit out of it and never snapped an axle or rooted wheel bearings in about a year.
