    Default Whiteline Suspension, any opinions?

So I'm driving a VN at 4wd height, with blown shocks at the moment, and I'm thinking I should do something about it.

    http://www.whiteline.com.au/YourCar/kits/CK_VL-VP6.PDF

I'm thinking of the complete package "The Works" as whiteline call it, just the low one (not going superlow). Anyone got any pics of it fitted to a VN at the moment? I'd like to see a few shots before I spend my hard earned.

That said, it's going to be a while before I've got $1200 to spend on it (fitting myself).

    Thumbs up

    Hi,

I have a Whiteline works kit fitted to my VQII Caprice.
Granted its IRS etc etc but anyway.

The suspension is firm. Straight forward firm.
But handling is superb. It takes a good few k's to relearn the car.
Be gentle with it and it can turn so neatly and flat.

The car is very predictable to drive now.
    Very happy.

The car is not "slammed" but once i get around to putting rims on it it will be low enought.
I have a neat 10.5mm clearance on the majority of my exhaust (lowest part)

    Here are some pics anyhow.
Anymore q's pm or email chris@nce.net.au

BTW have you got any quotes.
I did install it myself but i ended up buying it from Unreal Autosports for $1.3k including a strut brace.

I can only speak for the VL, but I know a guy that had a very poor kit and had very poor customer service when his parts failed numerous times.

Maybe, but in my experience they had good customer service indeed.
Btw, had the suspension fitted for around 40000 kms now

Why is it that these springs place always make the heights the same, Why don't they lower the front springs 5-10mm lower, When in gear the rear drops and it make it look like the front is up.
My brother had his car lowered 100mm Front 95mm Rear some said to him it looks high in the rear, But once in gear was perfect height all over.

It only drops the rear when you're in gear in a car with IRS. Having a live axle at the rear means that it's not really an issue.

Well...that's how I understand it. I could be wrong.

That whiteline gear is awesome, be it that i have only seen it in a VL, but damn, i have never seen an aussie car take corners so flat and stiff. Mind you it made it an absolute bastard to change rims over with a normal jack cos there was no body roll, it was really hard to jack up. But, that whiteline gear, its commin for my car, no doubt

Mouse, go for the King springs option depending on how low you want to go. Cheap on e-bay or even repco. If you go too low then you'll need new struts and short travel shocks $$$$$

I always thought they all dropped a touch but more as you said in the IRS?
My car looks funny at times with it's high front end, Both standard height rear and front but with a full tank you can't miss the front up higher. I was even thinking of getting lowered front springs to match it up

With an auto the rear may squat a bit with a live axle, but not that I've ever noticed in my mates VN's (mind you their suspensions were fairly tight). Being a manual, I think that if it does drop in the rear when I grab a gear, I'm in a LOT of trouble.

@Lethal27: I don't want to go really low, I'm not even looking at the superlow whiteline setup. From what I can work out the first stage of lowering from whiteline takes the front to about FE2 height, and lowers the rear a bit more so that it sits flat.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I've gotta start saving for all this gear (and a set of spring compressors ). From what you're all telling me, this IS the way to go.

To be honest, my car did squat before this gear, but since fitting it might drop about 5mm max. It is not even noticeable anymore.
