hi guys how are you
i've bought a set of vx ss rims and tyres they are 235's all round, i've put the front rims on and i am running stockys on the back till i sort out how i can fit 235's on the arse of a wagon?
can you guys help? ive also lowered the arse 2inch's from standard
do i vut the iner gaurd?
chamber the rear some how?
thank you for helping
i dont wanna run stockys for eva
shouldn't they just fit staight on 235's are wide but not that wide iv'e got 235's on my car or do you you mean your car is 2 low and they will rub on the gaurd? if so just get the gaurds rolled
They should fit easy but your car is probably sitting crooked if you don't have an adjustable panhard rod and one side or both sides will rub![]()
thanks the reply boys yeah ive lowered the back 2inch from standard using a set of lovells
even once i lowered it with my old 225's it would rub on corners or over bumps now i got new rims i dont really wanna buy new tyres so what do u guys reakon? if i get a adjustable pan hard rod will it fix it? mayb cut iner gaurds? thanks for your help fellas
i don't know a real lot about this but i'd assume the panhard rod would stop the movement wouldn't hurt to let someone else post up though just to be safe cause like i said i don't know alot about this stuff are your guards already rolled is that were there rubbing
gaurds have not been rolled!thanks mate again any1 else care to share? i see all these vp, vn's running 18's etc and i wounder why i cant fit 235's 17's![]()
they would fit on my wags.. I had 225 15s on it whilst it was tucking to the rim almost. Only thing it scrubbed on was the top of the guard cause the had a 65 profile. I dont have an ajustable pan ard rod, nor are my guards rolled. Although i chucked a set of 14 inch burnout rims of a vh on the back and it wouldnt fit when i had my superlows in. Maybe the offset of those mags are diffrent to a vp.. come to think of it they most possibly are. Umm Umm best bet would be to go get your guards rolled. Will cost about $50 and they will it like a dream.
I've run the equivalant of about a 260 tyre under the back of my wagon on kings low springs without a drama only a small bit of rubbing under full load
i had 235's on my old vp wagon and never had any probs, even when having a 200kg fridge in the back(wagon was the most handy car i swear!)with the tyres in the guards it never scrubbed. Cant think of why urs would scrape unless something is bent or not alignd properly
cheers for the replys guys!!!
ive installed my 235's (vx ss rims) on the ass of my wagon to see if it would rub since its a newer rim? it seems to b ok so far, even with 3 people in it, it still seems fine but i've pm'd mr spares for a panhard rod! and a few other things so ill se ehow i go!
I had 235's (VT SS Rims) all round on my vs wagon. I had to use spacers because the tyres were rubbing the struts up the front and up the back it was rubbing as well. (I didnt have to roll the guards though as it wasn't lowered)
i got vr clubby rims on my vn wagon (same as vp i'm guessing) and they're 235's and i get no rubbing even with full load ???
