i got my car back today from zost place, the guy talked me into geting a str cat back system with 2 ressinators.
So i ended up playing 300$ for it an just found out str means straight through
i looked under the car and its black pipeing looks brand new scrapes like shit over every hump now (allthough ive got superlow king springs in it)
Anywayz i recon it sounds shit just like a lacer or something poojab rice car.
question.1 :Will a high flow cat help?
question.2 :Will a zost tip help the crap coffee can sound?
question.3 :I got riped off didnt i?
question.4 :Will the scrapeing screw my new pipen up?dints match?
question.5 :i seem to be seting ppls alarms off wen i drive past, can i get intruble for it if they report me? the guy said its all a leagle tone(nothing to warry bout)
proly all stupid questions but id like to ask the experts (u guys) b4 i do anything else
oh ma car is 89 vn auto cats been knocked out and likes to backfire at a high rev i dunno why though.
q1: High flow cats dont change the tone
q2: tips do shit all except looks
q3: Thats about the going rate including labour
q4: Dints will reduce the flow but depending on the size not by much
q5: With 2 ressies it would be legal
I found the most effective way to change the note of the car is to change the muffler. Go with a trusted brand such as lukey or personally i like and use redback, and it should be 2.5 inch pipe. What brand of muffler do you have?
kilowatts are like drugs, the more you get, the more you want.
cant seem to see the logo for the brand allthough it is 11 pm an i can see shit all with like touch ill have to wait till morning
all i no is its all black pipe, muffler and ressi all of it and its 2.5 inch
oh and wen i was driveing it for first time it started to smell a bit dunno if thats just the new pipe burnin in or wat ever. First time geting zost done
anywayz wats a good price for redback or lurkey muffler? im trying not to buy crap stuff just nice decent things
oohohohoohohooh and i want one of them tips that come out as 2 pipes! how much are they !!!!!
i wish to differ ever so slightly on what you said for questions 1&2....Originally Posted by str8up

it made a noticable difference to idle note and when you are under heavy acceleration (3500rpm+) its ALOT louder. (in a good way, lol)
also some tips can make the exhaust note sound different, not much, but they can smooth off the note so its not quite as lumpy.
