    Default Rubbing Guards

hey guys, i just bought some 17" VR clubsport mags for my VN Calais and when i put them on my car both back wheels rub, my car is lowered (which is causing the problems) and i have heard about rolling back the inner lip of the back 1/4 panel guards. Can this be done at home or is it worth getting a panel beater to do it?? Any ideas on prices would be helpful too!!
    thanks

The guards on my VP have been "rolled" by the dodgy brothers that used to own it the end result is that both the rear 1/4 panels might as well be in the rubbish tip where they belong , If the thing hadn't of left a cloud of smoke when I was testing the 0-60mph and also run a 5.95 today I would be upset just thinking about it

I got my rear guards rolled in adelaide and i think it cost me about $70 a quater at a tyre shop, worth it though, and depending on the age of the car and the condition of the paint, some places will guarantee to not crack paint

I still think it's better to get wheels with the right offset so you don't have to do it

i had wheels on it with the right offset, infact, they were the standard Walkinshaws, allbeit with wider 245 rubber on them, if i had ONE person in the back, and went over a bump it would scrub, so before i put my 17s on i rolled them, and huzzah, no more scrubbing

how the f*ck are you scrubbing with 17"s?? either your illegally low or you didnt have an adjustable panhard rod put on when you lowered it. (and yes i realise it is usually jus the left that scrubs when you dont have a p/h rod, but with enough weight in the car both sides will)

Im not scrubbing with 17s, i wasnt lowered till about a week ago either, but the 245 wide rubber on the walkinshaws hated it, now it doesnt scrub at all, with the 235 17s or the 245 16s. The shocks were shagged as hell which didnt help though, but now, all cool, no probs even with an extra half a ton of mates in the back

Mine rubbed at standard height with 17's. I got so sick of it one day when I was driving to willowbank, I stoped on the side of the highway and me and my mates hit the gaurds in. It solved the problem and it looks perfectly fine.
