Manual gearbox rebuild?

hey, i just picked up a 5 speed gearbox out of a vn commy from my mates dad (owns a wreckers) for 150 bucks, full conversion. i have a vr s2 engine in mine tho so will there be any problems bolting up ? n also he said u have to double clutch it back into 3rd when u downgear. is that a serious problem/lead to serious problems? and how much is a rebuild on one of them just to be on the safe side ? cheers

could just be a syncro ring gone.....prices will vary on parts,depends where you go..

well if u dont want it mate, ill take it off ur hands. and can u ask ur mate's dad if he is able to get the bottom shaft with reverse and all that on it, its the bottom internal shaft. and how much if he has one. it has to be good condition

yeah i could ask him all that but its pretty pointless seein as though i live in newcastle champ lol. all i want is my 5 speed to be going

hey man can u please give me the phone number of this guy, im badly in need of a cluster shaft... now that i know wat its called. so far ive been through 16 wreckers to try and fine 1, and only 1 place may have one. please mqan help a friendly commy mate out
