Horn trouble

hey all

My horn dosn't work unless your speeuze both sides on the thing and when your stuck behind old people goin 30 in a 50 zone it's sucks alot... I've tried sanding the termanls ( the things that make the connection) and they did nothing really..

What do i do??

Umm Viagra. Nah, if you pull the wires off and touch them together does the horn work easily then.
If so, just go to the wreckers and see if you can buy another horn unit.

go to supercheap and buy some air horns, hook up a rocker switch and your done

three is a gold pad washer thingo behind the steeringwheel this may be worn out and not contacting

on my car the horn pin was warn out. its the spring loaded bronzey thing which makes contact with the ring on the back of the steering wheel. U cant just replace the pin though, you have to replace the platics surround aswell.Go to wreckers for a non worn out one. I could actually see bronze filings arround the pin.

those air horns sound good but the old lady was proberly deaf as it is... but that viagra sounds like a good idea.... might have to get the iron out lol

Stupid Rice Burners wanting to drag me !!

just give it a quick hit with your hands (steering wheel) downwards,as VN's steering columns are renowned for just popping up slightly,leaving a gap between horn contacts..give it a sharp hit at about 10 oclock and 2 oclock postion (left hand 10 oclock...right hand 2 oclock..give that a go and see what happens....
