but if you dont know the purpose of a shifkit then are you sure you can fit it?? lots of things you can stuff up. but any way, i love them, gets rid of sloppy holden shifts and gives you nice firm shifts.

that place above is excellent, they know their stuff. they can give you all the advice you need.

ok thanks and from what i know , a shift kit changes gears like a manual except in the auto theory , u gain a lil bit of speed this way to considering that the auto has a higher ratio then the manual but people automatically assume that manual is faster also a shift kit is a cheeper way to go and people outside the car wouldnt tell the difference , and u gotta research ur shit so u dun **** it up so hmm maybe thats what im going and thanks i'll investigate

shift kitted auto, well, gains are quicker shaper gear changes, no hanging as it changes from one gear to the next

it will chirp 2nd gear, and depending on how hard you work it, 3rd also (with heaps of cash spend on motor)

speed difference is prob about 3 or 4 extra km (the difference in a slopy gearchange compared to a sharp change)

cost, for a shift kit to be installed by yourself, you can pick kit up for around the 300 to 400 mark, but i would strongly sugest you get a rebuilt auto with it installed. the shift kit puts extra tension on the gearbox.
