    Default Cable on Throttle Body

Can anyone tell me about the adjustments made to the gearbox cable on the throttle body(series 1). I know how to adjust it but which way has what effect on the gear shifting. You can make the black stopper thingy look longer or have it pushed in shorter. Something to do with the kickdown maybe.

    Cheers

To reset the cable back to standard, to be able to adjust for your liking. Just push the button in on the side of the mounting and pull the cable back out away from the throttle body. Next release the button and turn the top of the butterfly manually with your hand as though you are openning the throttle all the way to full throttle. You should hear the kickdown cable ratchet back to the correct original default position. Once the cable is back to the factory setting you can then adjust to suit (ie. closer to the passengers side will give a smoother slower change, while closer out toward the drivers side usually means a firmer harsher change) Hope this helps!!!

Well ive moved the black thingy out further (towards passenger side) and the result is easier kickback but it doesnt like holding the gear at high revs and a slight smoother shift
