ok, after 3 weeks of my vn being out of service and off the road i've given up trying to fix my car with an auto electrician friend of mine. 2 mechanics, 2 auto electricians and myself as well as all my mates are completely dumbfounded by whats wrong with my vn (1 mechanic and 1 auto electrician haven't seen my car personally but have been explained everything as well as all questions answered) ANYWAYS
firstly does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Vn commodore like from battery > main fuses > fuses under steering wheel etc
My car doesn't work electrically, mechanically it's fine, the fuses under the steering wheel dont have any power going thru them except for the battery fuses, the ignition ones and the ones label A,B,C,D dont have any power going thru them and the other category which i forgot what it's called.
Also, the fuses in the engine bay have no power going thru them either, no fuses have been blown, and the main fuse (just above the battery) that has a 60amp on it doesn't have power either :/ and i dont have an alarm or central locking or immobilizer... we were wondering if there is a stock immobilizer of some sort that would do this?
I have no hazard, no parking/reverse lamps, indicators, wipers etc etc
Any help would be much appreciated and i'd be forever grateful
I'm sorry if i haven't explained properly or written incoherent as i'm blinded by frustration and would gladly clear anything up/answer any questions that may help u understand my nonsense better
Thanks in Advance
Cheers

by the sounds of it, pretty much every fuse has no power, id be checking wiring in the engine bay, around the fuse box area especially. dont know how the autoelecs cant find the problem.
goto your local library, they should have a grwegories manual you can photocopy, or buy one.
ps, dont double post, it wont really help, jsu tpisses people off.
That type of problem you would have to take to a professional to repair as obviously it is not a run of the mill problem and a professional will e able to find it quicker and cheaper than you spending whats sounds like has been weeks trying to find a problem. Thats why they are professionals in their trade!!
ok so new update.. the auto electrician has found that there's a bad connection from the battery to earth and has gotten the lights to work, but also there maybe be a problem with the starter motor, either the relay or the starter motor itself... two questions
How much is it to buy a new starter motor?
and
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the VN 89 model SI?
cheers, thanks in advance
