Cool WaTs ThIs WorLd CoMiN To ???? Pt 2

ok boys im clearing the record !! i agree with most of u all about my previous forum and u all gave it to me as i deserved it my actions were putting us commodore drivers to the shame and i deserve every minute of my punishment , however u can not all tell me p plate commodore drivers dont get targetted ! its bullshit we do as i said in my final word on the forum i have been pulled over 6 times since i brought my car , my car is like new no problems with it and i wasnt doing anything wrong any of the 5 times the 6th i did and i admit i do however they left the rice burner speeding off and me casually driving again got done for it , but i admit i was more dangerous and that i deserve what i got it has tammed me again , u gain a rather big ego when u drive a commodore , but commodore and p plate drivers are getting targeted its crap i think everyone should be treat the same not targeting us all the time , my mate owns a lancer (not p plater) she got the car going sideways on a right turn and kept it going for half way down the road she got pulled over ( i was in the car) and cop pulls us over walks up and looks at her and goes wow well done have a nice night. now i know police are different but this is just one of the many evidince i can tell u guys about . And if ur still reading after all this i want to apoligise . i want to say sorry for my behavior it was immature and i want to say sorry to all u guys who read and commented on my forum thanks for ur time.

Well no offence but ofcourse cops are going to target or be more inclined to pull over a p plate commodore driver, you're driving a larger, more powerfull car.

And because of people (in general, not just younger drivers) driving like you did the other night, police are on the look-out for hoons and street racers.
I don't know about down there in adelaide but up here in queensland there has been a lot of media coverage and public outcry to get hoons off the streets.
You've either got to take it to the track or play it safe. Although now it's going to be a little hard for you as the police know you car and have a pre-concived idea of how you're going to drive and will probably pull you over at any oppertunity.

Lastly, if you are going to pull a dumb stunt and get booked, for f**k's sake don't winge about it here, as you saw you won't be getting sympathy from us. Next time a ricer wants to race, don't even look or give them the time of day, nothing shit's them more then when they realise you won't because they're beneath you on the food chain.

i got pulled over 3 times in 2 weeks and im a chick and didnt do anya thing wrong, one time they wanted to ask me bout a sticker on my car...

each time i got pulled over they were youngish moron cops and just went over my car and went on there way... i doubt i deserved my time being wassted especially since my cars didnt even have mags or an exhaust then...

I was pulled over 4 times on saturday night in my VN.

I got pulled over in a sidestreet, they let me go and i did a u-turn, pulled onto the main road in front of a police car and was pulled over again turning left onto the next main road. I was then pulled over about a km up the road and got out in time to see the previous cop car go driving past.

I was then sitting in my car out the front of a mates house to have a police car pull up behind me and check my car again for a 4th time.

Now heres the catch. My car is showing up as defected on their computers when in fact it was cleared at a police station a while back, but it wasnt taken off the computer. I have to ring today to sort it out.

Friday i had my plates changed to VN2NV. From Jan 21st til March 31st i was not pulled over once. Now 4 times saturday night and once today (monday morning). It shows the police are paying a shitload more attention now.

Mags, lowering, exhaust, custom plates and P' plates are a recipe for attention from the police.

I've had enough trouble being checked for defects previously because my car looks decent and has P plates. Police have even admitted it to me while defecting me, in Victor Harbour the guy said its because im a p plater and then in Blair Athol i was being defected and a cop car drives past with half its exhaust missing, bumpers and panels falling off left right and centre and i asked the cop why doesnt he pull him over? the answer: "Because you can afford it and he cant". And that is a direct quote. Just because my car is modified doesnt mean i can afford to go to a Vehicle Inspection Station!

This is bullshit because my car is just as roadworthy if not more so than when it came out the show room 14 years ago when there are bombs out there that are a major safety risk and aren't roadworthy at all yet they get away with it.

hehe i made a typo in the above msg. "and a cop car drives past with half its exhaust missing" it wasnt a cop car, just a normal car. I was too busy thinking about police while i was typing.

cops do target p platers ive lost 9 points on my p's for stupid reasons and only ever been in 1 real accident where a chick rear ended my rear right quarter panel causing me to spin out of control into another car, the cops came and i got the blame cause im a p plater and i had stockies on the back P platers in commodores do get targetted more than any other ppl imo especially vl turbo's and 5 litres i suppose i understand why they do but its still bullshit im sure they were young once lots of p platers in high performance cars can drive better than some middle aged ********s who dont watch the road properly and usually on highways ive noticed its the p platers who stick to 100/110 and the old guys in the vz's and such that do like 130 without a care in the world

Same here - same situation, and mines not stock either! . That said, I do think P Plated commys are a target for RBTs, but if i was a cop, then I'd pull me over!

P-platers in general get targetted. I got pulled over just as many times in my mum's excel as in my VN exec.

That said, it may just being a male P-plater. I don't think that female P-plate drivers get pulled over as much, although I could be wrong.

Same here, (although now off my first year P's..Just) the only time I got pulled over was because of random breath-tests, licence checks etc. and once because a passenger wasn't wearing a seat belt. If your going to break the road rules in front of cop, regardless of who ever else is around then what do expect?

And I do think us chicks get it easier than you blokes. Which isn't fair, but hey I'm not complaining!!!

Not much has changed over the years. 30 years ago P platers got stopped and were targetted. As most of my mates were hoons in EH holdens or HG panelvans we would be stopped often.

It's just a fact of life , The only difference is that now all you P platers have this and other forums to complain to, back then we didn't have a forum so not many people heard about it. It just seems to you to be happening more often , because you can reach more people and it is in the media more.

Just do your time , drive sensibly and before you know it you'll be off your P's.

The incidence of police targetting P platers is not higher, the public awareness of it is.

That's a fairly valid point, my old man keeps telling me about how often he used to get pulled over, so it's nothing new. All the old farts at work complain about how the cops used to hassle them too.

    Lol ,
You won't find me putting you down for anything you may have done.
Life is a learning experience and I'm sure that most of the folks having a go at you have done something stupid in their driving history.

Problem with todays society is we are all made to feel guilty for something,
blood on the streets, speeding , state of the economy. With all this constant media bombardment it is only natural that a lot of people start accepting the standards and political correctness that is thrust upon them.It is now at the point where a generic term "speed kills" is a standard. Speed is a relative thing, 5 km/h is speed. It should be "inappropriate speed in inappropriate circumstances performed by untrained drivers has the possibility of killing"
But that doesn't sound so catchy and is too hard to say

Yes I am opposed to political correctness, it seems to me to pander to the narrow minded and is concerned mostly with "appearing to do the right thing".

You have the right to be responsible for your own actions and any consequences , and do NOT have to feel guilty because you do not meet other peoples expectations and standards.
If I choose to speed and I get caught , that is my problem, I chose that action and I accept the consequences. But I will NOT be made to feel guilty by anyone whether it is the courts , the police or forum members.
Being in control of your actions and consequences also put on you the responsibility of not impeding the rights of others.

Having said that, don't expect any sympathy from me for getting a caught
I think I went a bit off track in this post
    Aplogies for this lengthy post.
