u can use a steel poll (or similar) and crease up (roll) the imside of the guard, so it bends up and doesn't stick out so muhc, thus fitting wider tyres in.
cat? isnt that an animal? no i dont want one in my exhaust system thankyou very much...

i had my guards on my vn calais rolled last week, i found that most panel beaters won't do it because they don't wanna be held responsible for any damage like paint cracking, you are better off ringing around tyre and wheel places. Igot mine done at Canterbury tyre and auto in bayswater and it cost me $75 each guard (it's was more expensive because they guarantee no paint cracking).

When the tyre places do it, they generally use a machine to do it as well, i think i paid about 70 a quater. lucky i only had to do rears, i was damn broke after the rim purchase, but tyre places are going to be your best bet, and depending on paint, some will guarantee no cracking, others wont
