V6 & V8 70mm THROTTLE BODY

Hi everyone,

Got a 70mm throttle body for my vn 5.0, i had a friend of mine who is a tool maker bore it for me and make the throttle plate. The body was bead blasted and bored out to exactly 70mm and the throttle plate is made of stainless steel not coated mild steel like the factory ones. They are selling for around $250 on ebay i believe, total cost for mine to be made $0! I will let everyone know how it goes once i fit it on my calais 5.0 (and my supercharged v6) and mabye i can organise to have them done really cheap for people who are interested. Buggered if i was going to pay $250 for something that i was told i could have done for free!

yeah, i am very interested to see how this goes. It should allow more air to be forced into the engine and a more snappy throttle. Would love to get one of these, but i wouldn't pay the premium.

its a great mod, my engine definately breathes better, but if your going to do the TB, you might as well do the other side as well which has a restriction at 68mm.
