Transmission rebuild - how much? VP V6 auto

The auto transmission in my VP V6 is perfect at the moment, but say down the track it fails, what sort of money would I be looking at paying to get mine reconditioned?

For a good quality job from an authorised ATRA dealer you would expect to pay from $1500 - $1800 dependant on whats wrong and whats salvageable from your old transmission. ATRA stands for Australian Transmission Rebuilders Association and is tied up with the MTA. Very professional organisation and vry knowledgable.
