i blew two fuses today (to much messing around with my car lol)
um broght a neon at the shops today came home and installed it and it was all working fine till i tryed to get rid of the wires that all went fine but when i went to plus the neon onto the cig lighter again it didn't come on now im thinkin WTF so i tryed the back windscreen wiper and the washer at the back(since they all run off the same fuse ) and they didn't work so i checked out the fuse and yep it was blown so stupid me i took the other fuse off the hazzard lights and put it in and stupid me it happen again lol now two questions where is the cheapest place to buy fuses for me car and what is the other thing that runs of the same fuse as the hazzard light is me car still cool to drive with out them

that would be a pain in the arse - better than a short though! I live a few hundred kays from you, so i'm prolly no help. Dont know if anyone does this, but you could probably go to a wrecker and pocket a handful of their fuses (from a car, like pick and payless or something) easily enough!

from what I can make out you're saying that the fuse keeps blowing on the ciggie lighter/backwindow fuse. Good place to start would be the wiring around the ciggie lighter and check its not shorting anywhere - if it is, each time u plug the neon in u may be making it contact, it short circuts and the fuse blows. was happening to me with a mobile phone charger. otherwise check all the wiring to make sure its not shorting, if in doubt wrap it in elec tape! hehe
otherwise the onlyy other thing i can think of is the neon being dodgy... try plugging it into someone elses car and see if the fuse blows...hehe

If u look on the back of the fuse cover thing it will tell u what each fuse is for. But if thats not there, check ur indicaters and headlights see if they work, if they do, and the car starts go for it. Just go down to the supermarket or something or even a $2 shop, u'll get a whole pack of different ones for under $5

Dick Smith have a nice little box of 120 assorted fuses from 3A to 30A for $18. I picked one up, but purely because my cigi socket blew too many of my old man's fuses, I had to buy some. The VN sockets are fairly dodgy, when they get a bit old it's not uncommon for them to short out when you plug something in, especially in the wagon.
