Fan not working on VN

This has got me stumped, my car has been getting hot everytime I'm stuck
in traffic, I have now discovered that when I start my car the engine fan is not working, I have checked all the fuses and changed the relay over, but still no action. I know when you do a fault test the engine fan will turn on when you have turned the ignition on, so I tried this and the fan worked, but when I start my car the fan doesn't go at all, does anyone have any ideas?

Does your fan kick on when the air conditioner is turned on ?

I had the same problem - 1. My air-con wasnt working and this was affecting the fan - replaced the realy under the dash as fuse had melted stopping the air con working .. now its fine.

the fan wont turn on as soon as the car is on because its not hot enough! the thermo's turn on at a certain temp i think its around 102 degree's but dont quote me on that, so yeh if the car is cold thats y they wont work, it might be getting hot cause ur radiator could be buggered or sumthing to do with the cooling system
