Default planning to paint some car parts

ive been thinking of colour coding some parts of my car soon. i have a white vn berlina with all those black strips on the sides and bumpers. (check my avatar)

i want to paint the mirrors, black strips along the side, and the black strips along the skirts of the car. anyone have any experience with this, or any ideas that could help me out?

When u say strips along the side, do u mean the plastic one on the doors?
If thats what u r referring to then see if u can get hold of some white protection strips from a later model, eg; VP,VR or VS.
When I finally get around to painting my car (VN) the old ones will be replaced by VR model strips.

when you do it, make sure you sand back the grey areas on the bumpers as they have some sort of pattern in them and they will show if you dont sand them back. you wont be able to fit colour coded strips from other model cars like vp and vr as they used a different colour white, but yeh, alpine white and primer should do it

Hey guys, I was thinking of painting the plastic cover that goes over the supercharger, (I don't know what it's called, there's probably a name for it), just to make it stand out a bit when I pop the bonnet. Do you know if this is possible and if so, what paint should I use?

If you havn't painted the side stripes yet, DON'T, they look better like you have them, full sleeper.

Mirrors yes, but not the sides.

theres some threads in the VR/VS section about it. and theres a guide to help you hand paint the letters a different colour aswell. I'm pretty sure your just talking about the plastic engine cover, theres not actually a special name for it.

yeh i reckon you should go ahead and spray the ones along the bottom, or buy some ss skirts. i bought the ss spoiler for the front and it looks really good, if i decide to keep my car, im gonna buy the rear skirts aswell, hopefully it will look the goods... but still, anything will look better than the crappy faded grey colour
