Hey guys,
i got my CAS replaced about a month ago, and 2nite i couldnt start my car, so i did a error check and got error 41 which is "no crank signal input" or something. so i poured about 2 litres of water on the CAS and sure enuff it started first shot. question is, why did it play up when it is cold!!! i thought it plays up when its hot? neway going to take it back the "mechanics" that fixed it the other week to get them to look at it. just was wanting opinions
cheers
Possibly they didn't clean the area around it, but I find that unlikely. You'd probably dislodge most dirt just in changing it anyway
Can I ask how much it cost you to get done? Mine's well on the way out
well it cost me about 150, but the actual part only cost about 70, i would of done it myself but i didnt have the time as i just started uni, i dont think it is that hard to replace urself just a bit fiddle.
Maybe the CAS itself is okay and you've got a dodgy electrical connection. Give them all a bit of a jiggle and see what happens.
Gravity is proof that nature keeps getting us down.
just called the mechanic and it is going to be looked at monday
how does the CAS work?? does the hamonic blancer have nething to do with it? could that be buggered which in turn stuffs the CAS. the hamonic balancer is the pulley in front of it right?
well i got my car back just now, the mechanic replaced the sensor, all should be good now.
only problem was that he could reset the ecu via his snap on computer thing, said it was real strange, now if greenfoam is reading this can i ask would that have nething to do with the chip you made me? not saying its the chips fault but more the fault of my soldering ( it was pretty bad)
cheers
