hey guys i just got a vp executiveand i wanna kno what you all think i should do to it. Im thinking off going for the exhaust first but wanna hear what you guys think...lataz
exhaust is always a good start... depends what you've done already and what plans you have for it, how far you want to push it etc.
So yeh..
CAI + hi-flo filter
Exhaust
35% tints
wheels
lowering
engine work.. not for everyone..

yer well it is stock atm so...i was thinking of going with the exhaust and extractors first..but atm i know stuff all about cars and jst need help figuring out what to do..
extractors aren't 100% necessary, especially if you aren't doing engine work.
They can improve the sound a little but give very little kw gain... can you justify $700 for 3-5rwkw on a vp worth probably $5-6k? There are other mods that will get you there cheaper.

ahh ok...mm wat do you suggest i want my car to sound really good..sound is a main for me..its stock exhaust atm..so def needs up grading lol..i was thinkin of a 2.5 inch cat back system with a choice of tips...
yep 2.5" lukey system is always good3" tip will give it a bit of beef.
keep all your mufflers... it will give you a quieter cruise with less drone, but you'll certainly still hear it when you plant your foot.

ok thanks...im still not sure how much im gonna do to this car, cause id like to get a vs..but yer i like this car lol so...debating..but yea ill go exhaust first..then what else u think would improve the sound...need more grunt
CAI will help the sound a little too... there's not much more to do to sound without spending megabucks. the extractors will help if sound is all you are after... but $700 buys alot... up to you really.
And on the other sound front.. a fat stereo :P All stereo parts are completely interchangeable with the vs, so if you hang on to the stock gear you can just stick it back in when you sell the car.

wats a CAI lol...but yer definetly getting a phat stereo system soundstream all the way. got it all picked out...jst still debating...on saving for a vs or doin up my vp..mm
cold air intake... if you do a search you'll find plenty of posts on them. Basically it's just an improvement over the standard air intake.
Any exhaust work you do on the vp will have to stay on the vp... none will be transferrable to the vsbut really you can get exhaust + extractors fitted for around $1k, another $100 or so for the CAI, then whatever on the beats... but like i said all of that can be transferred to the vs later.

mm ok thx m8, might go to bed now and sleep on it lol...still wondering weather its worth buying all the exhaust or just not doin anything and saving for the vs...well ttyl m8
no worries, might catch you on a cruise one daywhen i get a new set of wheels..

what i would do is a 2.5 inch cat back (redback are good for the $$$) VS S/C CAI with a k&n filter is also good. from there look at maybe pacemakers (extractors) and removing the bellmouth from your throttle body. thats probally the cheapest mods for proformance. looks are totally up to you but tint, alloys, lowered suspension.
vp's are a great reliable car. it just depends how much you want to spend on it.

hey who here thinks i should not do anything to my vp and save up for a vs. Or do up my vp a bit and keep it for a while and get the vs later on.
i personally think keep the vp. theres not much difference to go to the vs. and even if you like the vs front end you can always put one on to your vp. just my 2cents
yer its just i really like the look of the vs expecially done up i think its the phatest.
go the exhaust chew more juice, get it running nice, good tyres, good oil check the suspension and all over the car then maybe a mp3,alloys and take it from there tho dont go spending big with out a decent alarm + immobiliser and good insurance incase the un fortunate happens.Originally Posted by surfer dude

yer we'll atm gotta get my wheel alignment checked, wheel balance done, and need new tires, gotta fix my central locking too. And money is tight so itll be a while till i get things up and running. BUT exhaust is gonna be first then..new head deck + speakers, sub later...maybe upgrade my immobiliser..and yea baody kit and tht later..
I'd save up and buy a VX gen III executive, they are getting cheap now, can't beat the power per dollar, don't use much fuel on the highway either
lol i cant save that much dude, although it'd be nice but yer...gotta be realistic lol
Also how much would it cost to convert my car from auto to manual. and what would i have to do, cause to be honest i have no idea lol.
and whats the best exhaust system pppl can recomend for my car so far ive seen the twin cat back system 2.5 inch..with any tip...wat else do u think?
