exhaust is always a good start... depends what you've done already and what plans you have for it, how far you want to push it etc.

    So yeh..

    CAI + hi-flo filter
    Exhaust
    35% tints
    wheels
    lowering
    engine work.. not for everyone..

extractors aren't 100% necessary, especially if you aren't doing engine work.

They can improve the sound a little but give very little kw gain... can you justify $700 for 3-5rwkw on a vp worth probably $5-6k? There are other mods that will get you there cheaper.

yep 2.5" lukey system is always good 3" tip will give it a bit of beef.

keep all your mufflers... it will give you a quieter cruise with less drone, but you'll certainly still hear it when you plant your foot.

CAI will help the sound a little too... there's not much more to do to sound without spending megabucks. the extractors will help if sound is all you are after... but $700 buys alot... up to you really.

And on the other sound front.. a fat stereo :P All stereo parts are completely interchangeable with the vs, so if you hang on to the stock gear you can just stick it back in when you sell the car.

cold air intake... if you do a search you'll find plenty of posts on them. Basically it's just an improvement over the standard air intake.

Any exhaust work you do on the vp will have to stay on the vp... none will be transferrable to the vs but really you can get exhaust + extractors fitted for around $1k, another $100 or so for the CAI, then whatever on the beats... but like i said all of that can be transferred to the vs later.

what i would do is a 2.5 inch cat back (redback are good for the $$$) VS S/C CAI with a k&n filter is also good. from there look at maybe pacemakers (extractors) and removing the bellmouth from your throttle body. thats probally the cheapest mods for proformance. looks are totally up to you but tint, alloys, lowered suspension.

vp's are a great reliable car. it just depends how much you want to spend on it.

hey who here thinks i should not do anything to my vp and save up for a vs. Or do up my vp a bit and keep it for a while and get the vs later on.

i personally think keep the vp. theres not much difference to go to the vs. and even if you like the vs front end you can always put one on to your vp. just my 2cents

go the exhaust chew more juice, get it running nice, good tyres, good oil check the suspension and all over the car then maybe a mp3,alloys and take it from there tho dont go spending big with out a decent alarm + immobiliser and good insurance incase the un fortunate happens.
    Cheers.

I'd save up and buy a VX gen III executive , they are getting cheap now, can't beat the power per dollar, don't use much fuel on the highway either
