    Default Removing Paint from grill?

I going to respray my front grill to match the colour of the car, so I want to remove all the paint to its original finish of clear plastic. What would be the best way to remove all the paint without using sandpaper? I would normally sand the whole thing back but seeing as though the back of the grill has a corricated (spelling) section it makes it pretty hard to do so, so any alternative methods to remove all the paint would be appreciated.

how bad is the paint currently on it? if its ok, just spray over it. if not, im not sure, maybe some paint stripper, but be real careful as it will probably eat the plastic away.

buy a new one to spray? wreckers, ebay:

im sure wreckers would sell you one cheaper.

I'd get a secondhand one from a wrecker and mess with that. Atleast if it doesn't work you can always put the original back in. Besides you could mod the wrecker one and make your VP unique.

I've actually already sanded back the front of the grill, but was wondering if there was some solution to removing the pain on the back as well. The grill was originally painted a dark blue so I think I may just leave the back of it and just respray the front. If I screw it up, then I can always buy one either from a wreckers or ebay.

    Nice to see you bro^^

friction, u dont need to sand it all the way back to plastic u can sand it back till all the cracks are gone ( if any ) and just prime over the top then paint.

Thanks wildss, but sanding back the front side of the grill was rather easy. I sanded back the majority of the paint which is the main part that will be seen. I did that because I want that part to have the best results. Once the grill has dried completely I will be priming it and painting it.
